When you’re writing a resume, the section where you list your education is important. miscarriage in this section can cost you an interview or job opportunity.
Under the Education section of your resume, list the schools you attended, beginning with the most recent. If you’re still in college or have recently completed an educational program, list your expected date of graduation. Include the degree you’re working toward and your major(s).
If you have already graduated, list the date of your graduation and your degree. If you have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, include that information as well. If you took any classes related to your field of work or relevant to the job for which you’re applying, be sure to mention those as well.
If you attended more than one school, include information about each one. Start with the most recent and work backward chronologically.
How to List Education on a Resume

Some people choose to list their education on a resume after high school in reverse chronological order. If you choose to do this, list your most recent educational experience first. -The name of the institution
-The type of degree or certification you earned
-The field of study
-The graduation date (or expected graduation date if you haven’t graduated yet)
If you have relevant coursework or special projects that relate to the job you’re applying for, you can include them on your resume as well. just be sure to specify how they relate to the position. For example: “Relevant coursework: Advanced Grammar and Composition, Business Writing, and Creative Writing.”
If you have completed some college but not a degree, you can list it like this:

There is no one perfect way to list education on a resume. Depending on your experience and career goals, you may want to highlight different aspects of your educational background. For example, if you are a recent graduate with little professional experience, you might want to emphasize your academic achievements and coursework in your resume. On the other hand, if you have been working professionally for several years, you might want to focus on your work experience and de-emphasize your education by listing it after your work experience section.
In general, it is advisable to list your Education section towards the top of your resume if you are a recent graduate or have little professional experience. If you have been working professionally for several years, you can list your Education section towards the bottom of your resume under a heading such as “Additional Information.”
